I think girls must have ability to be able to put themselves in someone else's shoes. The story of Miss Saigon is sad but I was watching it as a 3rd person with a mind set that it is a play. But girls were crying through out the second half. They must be able to totally immerse themselves into it because I felt the sadness of the story but not enough to bring me to tears. I wonder if all this is a learned behaviour.
